The Ranch is an American streaming television comedy/drama series. It stars Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson (who previously co-starred on That '70s Show) as brothers Colt and Rooster Bennett, respectively; who help run the Colorado cattle ranch owned by their father Beau (Sam Elliott). It also stars Debra Winger as their mother Maggie, a local bar owner, and Elisha Cuthbert as Colt's love interest Abby, a local school teacher.

Movie Summary: Ashton Kutcher stars in this Netflix-original sitcom as Colt, who returns home to his family's ranch in Colorado after his semi-pro football career ends in failure. Colt plans to run the ranching business with his father, Beau (Sam Elliott), whom he hasn't seen in 15 years at the time of his homecoming. In addition to proving himself to his father and navigating family dynamics, Colt is torn between his current girlfriend and his high school sweetheart, Abby (Elisha Cuthbert), when she expresses doubts about her fiance.
Review
This is a really fun with drama and romance. We don’t hear much about the series, even from Netflix, but it has a loyal fanbase who binge-watches the new episodes as soon as they are available (2016). It longest-running Netflix original comedy series.
The show is about a former sports phenom returns to his family's Colorado ranch and discovers a lot's changed since he's been away chasing his dreams.
Fun Facts
Unlike most series, The Ranch is divided into parts, not seasons. (It's listed that way on Netflix, too.) Each part features 10 episodes. The show's Part 7 is due later this year; its concluding Part 8 is set to follow sometime in 2020.
If you pay attention to the names of the episodes, you'll notice they're all names of country-music songs — and not just any country-music songs. All of the Part 1 episodes take their titles from the Kenny Chesney catalog, while Part 2 belongs to George Strait; Part 3 to Tim McGraw; Part 4 to Garth Brooks; Part 5 to Dolly Parton, and finally, Part 6 to Alabama.
'The Ranch' is basically a never-ending 'That '70s Show' reunion and more in common
